Handmade Nakiri, by renowned craftsman Butch Harner. This knife visibly displays Butch's unbelievable talent for esthetics, yet what sets all of his work apart is his ability to create a knife that has pinpoint accuracy in grind and heat treatment. This knife is unbelievably thin behind the edge, and the angle from the heel into the tang of the knife makes it incredibly comfortable in hand.
The blade is CTS-XHP, 60mm tall and 3/32'' thick at the spine. The
cutting edge is 165mm, with an overall length of 350mm. The handle
features a hammered copper guard, African blackwood ferrule with a
copper spacer, ironwood burl and a copper pin. The craftsmanship in this knife is mind-blowing and I can't find anything that I'm not in love with on this one....
I have to be honest, I want this knife; I want it in my kitchen, thinly slicing everything I can throw at it. I don't know if I've ever fallen so hard for a knife that wasn't mine, but this one got me right away. However, I'm going to tough it out and let someone else have the honor of owning and loving this piece.
Butch truly is at the top of the game, and this knife will make everyone take note.
